National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), now known as the Ministry of Education, Government of India (GOI).

In the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), there are two papers.

In Maharashtra, the State Common Entrance Test Cell administers the MHT CET (or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test).

  • Admissions are made every year to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses offered by Maharashtra colleges, such as B.Tech/ B.E, Pharma D, and B.Pharma.
  • A computer-based test is conducted for PCM and PCB groups separately at various centers across Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra State.
