• PESIT College of Engineering is one of the oldest and most prestigious engineering colleges in India. It was established on 1st June 1949 by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Entrance Exam by PESIT

• PESSAT-I

The first component of this test is known as PESSAT-I (People’s Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test – I), and it consists of questions meant to assess your ability to understand and apply basic mathematics concepts. This section puts your knowledge of arithmetic operations, fractions, percentages, ratios, algebraic expressions, and equations to the test. You may be asked to use these skills to solve difficulties.

• PESSAT-II

PESSAT-II (People’s Education Society School Aptitude Test II) is the name given to the second component of this test. This section assesses your mathematical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. You may be questioned about the legitimacy of data-driven findings, the accuracy of estimations, and the appropriateness of problem-solving processes.

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission in PESIT College of Engineering

The eligibility criteria for Direct Admission in PESIT College of Engineering are as follows:

1. You need to have completed 12th grade or equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics.
2. You must have a valid score card of any of the national level engineering entrance exams such as JEE Main, COMEDK or any other state-level engineering entrance exam.
3. If you don’t have a valid score in any of the above exams, you can also take the PESSAT exam which is conducted by the college itself.
4. You should be at least 17 years old as on December 31st of the year of admission.
5. If you belong to SC/ST category, you need to provide the valid caste certificate issued by competent authorities.
6. Non-Karnataka students are also eligible to apply for direct admission under management seats.

This course covers a wide range of topics, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, quality assurance, cost accounting, and much more.
3. Information Science & Engineering– At the undergraduate level, this course provides students with a thorough understanding of information science and engineering (ISE). The core principles, theories, and applications of ISE are introduced to students. Information retrieval, data mining, knowledge representation, ontology-based reasoning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, computational linguistics, machine learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision are some of the topics covered. Students learn how to apply these subjects to real-world issues by employing a variety of tools and techniques from mathematics, statistics, and computing.
4. Computer Science & Engineering– This course covers the essentials of computer science, such as data structures, algorithms, programming languages, operating systems, networking, databases, and web technologies. This course is intended to give students a solid foundation in computer science that they may use to any field of study. Students should have a basic understanding of computers and software programmes.
5. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering- Electronics and telecommunications engineering (ETE) is a discipline of engineering concerned with the design, manufacture, and use of electronic devices and systems. Electronics, telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, and other related subjects have been described as ETE.
6. Electronics & Electrical Engineering– Electronic engineering is the study of electronics, which covers electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, and other related fields. Electronic engineers are in charge of designing and manufacturing electrical equipment. They create circuits, components, and systems for the generation and control of electricity. Simple light bulbs to powerful computers are examples of these gadgets.
7. Civil Engineering– The course is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of civil engineering and its applications in a variety of fields.
